My
car is still under the manufacturer warranty –
will a remap effect this.
No.
All APR remaps use encryption, which serve several purposes.
First, it keeps prying eyes out of the software and prevents
lesser companies from copying the chip and degrading the
product. Secondly, the encryption prevents the dealer
from flash programming the ECU. Also, all software is
undetectable to a dealers diagnostic tools.
There
is a lifetime warranty against defects in the software
or soldering on APR and Wetterauer offer warranties
against engine and gearbox failures for up to three
years.
Can
you fit parts you haven’t supplied?
Happily.
We offer a very competitive hourly rate and can fit a
wide range of parts supplied by the customer. From a straight
forward oil change and service through to suspension,
exhaust and engine tuning parts.
Will
you help track ‘virgins’ through their first
track day?
Yes
we can, our instructor has many hundreds of hours experience
of fast road driving and many thousand of track hours.
A silver member of the prestigious High Performance driving
club, the youngest person ever to pass the Institute of
Advanced Driving test and a current racer. We will take
you through each step of the day from signing on until
the end of the last lapping session.
Can
you map my car during the evening?
No
problem. We can fit in with your diary. If that means
being with you at 9pm on a Sunday evening then we will
be there! We carry all the necessary equipment to be fully
mobile. We serve the south east, West Sussex and Essex
and by appointment offer mobile remaps between 8am and
10pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 9pm on Saturday and Sunday.
(Pre 2001 VAG vehicles APR remaps require a chip change
and we will need the ECU for 24 hours)
Are
there any physical signs of a remap?
No
– the percentage of remaps use the standard original
manufacturer diagnostic port and ECU which means other
than better fuel consumption and performance the car remains
as standard. Switchable APR programs use genuine VAG cruise
control parts.
